BSU Students to Study in Norway and Kirgizstan

Batumi Shota Rustaveli state University undergraduate students of the Faculty of Tourism will take part in the joint project "Sustainable Tourism: Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas and Cultural Heritage. Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and Norway Cooperation in the Field of Education”; Through this exchange program they will be able to study for one academic semester in Norway and Kyrgyzstan.

The jury selected the best candidates among the 30 contestants based on the English language command, intercultural communication skills, and academic achievements. During one semester Reveka Ferdman and Zurab Shamilishvili will study in Norway for one term, Theona Qartsivadze and Megi Bezhanidze will be writing their BA papers in Norway.  Tinatin Gogolishvili and Ana Topuria will study in Kirgizstan during the next academic term. Anna Shainidze and Nino Chachava will take part in the summer school organization, scheduled for 19-25 June, 2017. The same project envisages exchange scholarship in Norway for 3 professors from the Faculty of Tourism, BSU.

Rector of BSU Merab Khalvashi, Vice Rector Inga Shamilishvili, Telemark University Professor Temur Abesade and Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Rostom Beridze congratulated the students.

The Faculty of Tourism is implementing a joint project "Sustainable Tourism: Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas and Cultural Heritage. Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and Norway Cooperation in the Field of Education”. The project was launched in 2016 and it will last till 2019. The students of the Faculty of Tourism will be able participate in the exchange program and study abroad: in Norway or Kirgizstan, develop their BA papers or take part in the organization of the summer school.
