
Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is hosting the Summer School “Multilingualism and the Role of Translation in Knowledge Globalization”. The Summer School is being implemented in the frame of the European Union Research and Innovation Programme “Horizon 2020”, project KEAC-BSR „Sharing Knowledge and Academic Culture in the Field of Humanities: Europe and Black Sea Basin, XVIII-XXI Centuries“. The project involves PhD and MA students and professors and teaching staff of the universities of the consortium from Georgia, the Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Russia, Macedonia and Bulgaria.
BSU professors and teaching staff and the students, together with the international colleagues, will be discussing the challenges of the translation in the modern multilingual society for the next ten days. The round table, in the frame of the event, will be dedicated to the discussion of the role of simultaneous, consecutive, scientific and technical translation in the era of globalization.
