
Two institutional cooperation projects (Erasmus+Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) will be implemented by the participation of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The results of the ERASMUS + CBHE grant project concurs revealed the winner projects: „Enhance Research Capacity of Georgian Higher Education Institutions Through Scientific-research Services” and “Mediation: Training and Society Transformation”. The project “Enhance Research Capacity of Georgian Higher Education Institutions Through Scientific-research Services” aims at improving the research capacity available throughout Georgia through the development of the research services in Georgian universities. In the frame of the project the joint platform of research, that considers planning, implementation and evaluation of the research activities in Georgian universities will be created. Partner European Universities will carry out training sessions focusing on the improvement of the research management and data analysis skills of the administrative staff of the universities.
The consortium is comprised of 18 members: 11 HIEs of Georgia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Shota Rustaveli National Scientific Foundation (SRNSFG), The Agency of Innovation and Technologies of Georgia (GITA), Education Quality Development Centre (EQE), Technical University of Dresden, University of Clermont Auvergne, University of Nice Sophia Antipolis.
The project “Mediation: Training and Society Transformation” will give the possibility to the Universities of Azerbaijan, Georgia and the Ukraine to become one of the important players in the process of mediating in their countries. The Project team will get familiarized with the European experience, enhance the qualification of the staff, select the students and elaborate the MA Educational Programme in Mediation.
Federations of mediation that will be created in each partner country will provide the staff of the HEs with the possibilities to protect the mediation values, establish legislative changes, cooperate with various stakeholders and have an influence on the local, national and international levels.
