Representatives of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) of the US Department of Justice Meet the Students

Rockwell E. Herron, Special Agent of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) of the US Department of Justice, Jenifer Swider, Attaché  (Georgia) of the Drug Enforcement Administration of the US Department of Justice, Melor Tsipuria, President of the US-Georgia Friendship Association and Temur Dadiani, Specialist Corporal met the students of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Rockwell E. Herron presented the program “I Choose My Future” to the students and introduced them to the drug demand reduction policy as well as the consequences of drug edition. The speaker focused on drug abuse cases, the related diseases, broken up families and violence.
 
Temur Dadiani, Specialist Corporal, multiple champion in various types of sports, the world record-breaker talked about the importance of healthy lifestyle and shared his own experience with the students. Georgian soldier Temur Dadiani lost both of his lower limbs due to explosion of the landmine while serving in Afghanistan. Three years after the accident he set the world record in planche push-up. He did 36 so called “Amputee Push-ups “in 38.25 seconds thrice exceeding the existing world record. The sportsman showed even better result later.
 
The program “I Choose My Future” of the Drug Enforcement Administration of the US Department of Justice is aimed at providing the useful information to the youth as well as the popularization of the healthy lifestyle. The program is being implemented with the financial support of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Bureau (INL).
