An action to support Ukraine with the slogan "BSU for Ukraine" was held in the yard of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Students, professors and representatives of the administration expressed their solidarity with the Ukrainian people and condemned the tragic events in Ukraine as a result of the Russian military aggression. Rector of the University, Professor Merab Khalvashi, joined the action in support of Ukraine together with the members of the Academic Council and introduced the address of the Council.
The Academic Council of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, on behalf of the professors and students, strongly condemns the Russian military aggression in Ukraine, which threatens the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty, its democratic development and the process of integration into the civilized world.
We believe that with consolidated steps, the international community will be able to deter the aggressor state and ensure peace in the country, the region and around the world.
