At the BSU Child Rights Knowledge Center, a training was held for students and pupils of different schools in Batumi on the topic: "Media and Children's Rights". Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Merab Khalvashi and Ghasan Khalili, UNICEF Representative in Georgia and a honorary Doctor of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University greeted the participants of the event and handed over commemorative gifts along with certificates. The training was led by Aslan Chanidze, Chairman of the House of Free Journalists, and Manana Kveliashvili, Journalist of the Batumelebi newspaper.
9 trainings and webinars for students, teachers and parents have already been conducted at the BSU Child Rights Knowledge Center. Teachers got acquainted with such topical issues as: teaching children's rights in civic education, the basics of multicultural education, religion and ethnic minorities in the Ajara region; effective teaching-learning strategies for students with special educational needs; theories of development and learning in the classroom. The students were trained on the topics: "Introduction to Child Rights Course in Programming Language", "Emotion Management, Project Management", "Equality and Children's Rights", "What Causes Child Trauma?" How to Protect Adults from Injuries? "
The Children's Rights Knowledge Center also organized a photo exhibition "Children Defend Their Rights".
