A Delegation from the University of Bialystok in Poland Visits BSU

A delegation of the Bialystok University of Poland visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Members of the delegation, Professors: Oleg Latishonok, Editor Yaroslav Ivanyuk, Machey Krotofil, Dorota Mikhaluk, Evgenyush Mironovich, Tomas Blaszczak, Malgozzata Viezhkovska met the students and professors of BSU. The guests were welcomed by the Rector of BSU, Professor Merab Khalvashi, and spoke about the long-term cooperation between the two countries and future prospects.

Within the framework of the event, the guests presented a biographical book „In the Service of Belarus and Ukraine“ about Ivan Kraskovsky, the first Ukrainian diplomat in Georgia, the first consul, the founder of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Democratic Republic of Georgia (1919-1921).

After the presentation of the book, the professors of BSU shared with the representatives of the Polish delegation the unknown materials of Ivan Kraskovsky's activity in Georgia. A joint collaboration of professors from Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and Bialystok University was planned to create a new book about Ivan Kraskovsky.

The meeting was held in question-answer mode and the members of the delegation answered the questions of the students and professors.
