Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi was visited by the delegation of Caucasus University of Kars. The members of the delegation met the Rector of the university, Professor Merab Khalvashi and the Head of Administration Nika Chkhartishvili and agreed on directions of future cooperation. They also talked about the scientific and cultural relations between the two countries and emphasized the importance of joint research. It was planned to develop and implement joint educational programs. Within the framework of the visit, the Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Professor Merab Khalvashi, and the Rector of the Kars Caucasus University, Professor Husnu Kafu signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The agreement envisages the implementation of exchange programs of professors, researchers and students and joint research projects. Conferences, seminars and summer schools will be held within the framework of the memorandum. The parties agreed on the exchange of educational, scientific and methodological literature/publications and the sharing of educational and scientific-research management experience.
The meeting was attended by BSU professors and members of the delegation: Deputy Rector of the Caucasus University of Kars, professor Engin Kilic, the Head of the Foreign Relations Office, professor Hajali Nejefoglu, professor Roin Kavrelishvili, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, professor Mitat Durmush, the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, professor Murat Dashtan and Professor Mehmet Karabair, Director of Sarikamish Higher Vocational School.
