On November 13-17, the staff, project manager, Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education, professor Lela Turmanidze and researcher of the "Erasmus+" grant project "Promoting professional education and students’ engagement through comprehensive mentoring and tutoring system at HEIs/PROMENT” and Eliso Dzneladze, invited teacher, Doctor of Technical Sciences paid a study visit to the University of Eveiro on November 13-17 in the frame of the project. Within the framework of the visit, the project participants met the vice-rector of the University of Aveiro (UA), Sandra Suarez, the dean of the Institute of Accounting and Administration (ISCA-UA), Francisco Picado, the head of the international Relations office, Sofia Brookman, and got acquainted with the activities of the faculties and structural units of the University of Aveiro as well as Internationalization policy of the university.
At the meeting, presentations were made and the participants of the project shared their experience of involvement and participation in student support and promotion programs by the lecturers and students of the University of Aveiro, the employees of the Training and Methodology Center (NEA).
The project participants attended the training of Mairead Pratschke, Deputy Director of e-Learning and Innovative Learning, Chair of Digital Education at the University of Manchester, on the topic "Embedding Generative Al: Innovation and Integration in Higher Education", where they discussed the strategic challenges and opportunities of embedding artificial intelligence in higher education and teaching.
