On May 29-30 of this year, within the framework of the Jean Monnet Chair “Closer to the European Union” project, an international conference „EU Integration Perspectives of the Candidate Countries“ will be held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
The Jean Monnet Project is focused on teaching EU competition law and EU consumer law. Accordingly, one of the main issues of the conference is the approximation of competition law and consumer protection rules of these countries within the EU legislation. In addition to the laws, the conference will also discuss the issues of approximation of other fields of law within European norms.
More than forty participants are taking part in the conference. Among them are scientists, doctoral students, master's and bachelor's students. Participants are from Georgia, as well as Poland, Ukraine, Albania, Serbia and Bulgaria.
