BSU Rector Tite Aroshidze and university representatives hosted a delegation from Shymkent University (Kazakhstan). During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for strengthening cooperation in higher education, developing international programmes, and implementing joint educational projects.
As part of the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and Shymkent University of Kazakhstan. The agreement provides for student and academic staff exchanges, the implementation of joint educational programmes, and opportunities for obtaining double degrees.
The delegation from Shymkent University was headed by Rector Nurlibek Seitkulov and University President Galimzhan Praliyev. The delegation also included Akbope Kerimbekova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Strategic Development; Sevil Pirieva, Coordinator of External Relations; Dana Sultanbek, Coordinator of the International Relations Department; and Farkhat Saipov, Head of the Public Relations and Marketing Department.
The BSU delegation included Vice-Rector Tamar Siradze; Tamar Dundua, Head of the International Relations Office; Teona Beridze, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities; Professor Maia Kikvadze; and Associate Professor Shota Rodinadze.
