On November 7-8, 2024, Malkhaz nakashidze, Jean Monnet Chair (EUCONST), Jean Monnet module (TRIO.JOIN.EU) coordinator, professor of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, participated in the Jean Monnet Conference Session "Regulations and Legal Mechanisms at National and European Level to Ensure Respect for Human Rights and Alternative Dispute Resolution” within the framework of the Scientific Conference "Integration Through Research and Innovation", dedicated to the International Day of Science for Peace and Development and hosted by the Moldova State University.

During 5-8 November, 2024 in Sinop (Turkey) At Sinop University was held Project Management and Researchers capacity building under the framework of The MACRO CLEAN Project. During the meeting it was discussed the project management plan, financial and procurement planning and Major activities of project. The team of researchers from partner universities discussed details of research methodology, various lab analyses, lab equipment and timeline of implementation. From BSU at meeting participated Merab Diasamidze (Project Coordinator), Inga Diasamidze (Researcher), Zviad Eliziani (Project Communication coordinator).

The British Ambassador to Georgia, Gareth Ward, visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The Ambassador, together with the Acting Rector of BSU, Merab Khalvashi, met with students participating in international exchange programs. The representative of the diplomatic corps spoke about the friendly relations between Britain and Georgia and the priorities of the United Kingdom. The Ambassador shared information with the students about the Chevening Scholarship, which provides Georgian youth with the opportunity to receive education in the UK. The meeting was held in a question-and-answer mode, and the students expressed special interest in such issues as: climate change, environmental protection, security, economy and other topical topics.

The newly appointed Consul General of Turkey in Batumi, Adnan Altay Altınors, and TIKA Tbilisi Coordinator Zeynep Bayrak, along with other members of the delegation, visited BSU. At an introductory meeting with Acting Rector Merab Khalvashi, the parties discussed the friendly relations between the two countries and discussed future prospects. Merab Khalvashi congratulated the representative of the diplomatic corps on the 101st anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey, emphasized the successful cooperation with Turkish universities, and introduced the history of the higher educational institution, educational programs, and university life.

Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Batumi Narine Matosyan visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The representative of the diplomatic corps met with the Acting Rector of the University Merab Khalvashi. The parties discussed the signing of a memorandum with educational institutions, deepening cooperation and future plans. It was planned to implement exchange programs for students and professors and joint educational and scientific projects. The meeting was also attended by Marine Giorgadze, Head of the Department of Strategic Development and International Relations.
