Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi was visited by the delegation of Artvini Chorokhi University. Rector of Artvini Chorokhi University, Professor Mustafa Sitki Bilgin, Deputy Rector, Bulent Saghlam, General Secretary Muhammad Ardich, Head of International Relations Department Hakan Gultekin, and Rector`s Assistant Yusuf Kalkani met with BSU Rector, Professor Merab Khalvashi.
Andreas Hilger, head of the Max Weber Foundation in Georgia, and Davit Jishkariani, manager of the foundation, visited Shota Rustveli State University in Batumi. Andreas Hilger spoke about the existing relations between Georgia and Germany and directions of future cooperation at the meeting with BSU rector, Professor Merab Khalvashi. BSU rector Merab Khalvashi introduced the guests to the scientific and educational programs implemented and ongoing at the university with the support of Germany. According to the agreement of the parties, it was planned to implement joint projects, develop exchange programs and sign a memorandum of cooperation.
On November 20-24, 2023, Malkhaz Nakashidze, professor and the Jean Monnet Chair of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, visited the Faculty of Law of the University of North Macedonia Faculty of law - University "Goce Delcev" - Stip within the academic exchange program of "Erasmus +". Professor Malkhaz Nakashidze delivered lectures to the students of the law faculty of the university about the European constitutional law, democracy, rule of law in the European Union, as well as the challenges of European integration of Georgia.
On November 20-23, within the scope of the European Union "Erasmus+" project "Strengthening the quality and relevance of the third mission in Georgian universities (SQUARE)", the Georgian partners of the project were hosted by Nova University of Lisbon. From Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, the event was attended by BSU Deputy Rector, Professor Tamar Siradze and Head of Public Relations Service, Nino Dolidze.
At Shota Rustaveli State University in Batumi, American media experts, professors of Arizona State University`s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism - Bill Silcock and Ken Foskett gave public lectures on the challenges of traditional and digital media. During two days, American media experts introduced BSU students, professors and working journalists to such topical issues as: "Free press model for covering fair elections", "Disinformation", "Social media in teaching journalism" and "Investigative journalism". The workshop was organized as part of the event, American professors shared many years of experience with the audience and answered their topical questions.
