Researcher Izolda Machutadze, head of the department of conservation of peatland and water ecosystems of the Institute of Phytopathology and Biodiversity of BSU, participated in the symposium "Strengthen nature, climate and the future now!" held at the University of Antwerp (Belgium) on September 19-21. 550 participants of the symposium, including representatives of the European Parliament and the European Commission, demanded joint urgent measures to protect ecosystems in Europe. A declaration was prepared at the conference, which is supported by more than 90 signatories - representatives of European Union projects, scientists, Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi, non-governmental organizations and farmers. The declaration has been forwarded to the European Parliament.

Sheraz Gasri, Ambassador Plenipotentiary of France to Georgia, visited Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi. At an introductory meeting with the Rector of the university, Merab Khalvashi, the representative of the diplomatic corps spoke about the cultural and educational relations of the two countries, future cooperation, exchange programs and the need to deepen cooperation in the direction of scientific research.

On October 3-4 of this year, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University hosted a conference within the Hein 4.0 project of the Erasmus + program. The conference was attended by representatives of project member institutions from Europe, Ukraine, Georgia, as well as local partners of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.

The professors of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University participated in the symposium of the Institute of Empirical Linguistics of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt - "Digital Caucasianology - Paradigm Shift". At the official opening ceremony of the symposium, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Associate Professor Theona Beridze welcomed the participants. The BSU Professor Ramaz Khalvashi and Associate Professor Khatuna Beridze participated in the conference and introduced the results of the latest research to the participants.

Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi was visited by the delegation of China`s Sichuan Province, consisting of Fu Ming, General Inspector of the Department of Education, Chang Chi, Dean of the Petroleum Engineering Faculty of Southwest Oil University, and Dai Lei, Head of International Relations of the same university.
