70 students of Shota Rustaveli State University of Batumi will study and do internship in European countries. Students of the Faculty of Tourism are doing their internship in Germany, and 12 Bachelor students are continuing their studies in different European countries. Merab Khalvashi, Rector of BSU, Tornike Rizhvadze, chairman of the government of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara and Maia Khajishvili, Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara congratulated the students on their victory in the student’s project.

Within the EPSY project of Erasmus+, a working week was opened at Shota Rustveli State University in Batumi. During one week, under the guidance of the project coordinator, professor Indira Dzagania, representatives of different universities of Georgia, Poland, Romania and the Tbilisi Mental Health Crisis Intervention Service will develop working guidelines for the psychologists of the Student Counseling Center opened within the project.

The first annual scientific conference "Challenges of Modern Public Law" of the International Society of Public Law (ICON•S Georgia) dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Law is being held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The conference was opened and the participants were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of BSU, Professor Levan Jakeli, ICON•S Georgia Co-Chairman, Head of the Jean Monnet Department of the EU Constitutional Law, BSU Professor Malkhaz Nakashidze, USAID Rule of Law Program Head Giorgi Chkheidze, TSU Professor Giorgi Kverenchkhiladze and BSU Law and Public Administration Department Associate Professor Omar Partenadze

Batumi Shota Rustveli State University celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Law. Dean of the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences Levan Jakeli spoke about the achievements and history of the faculty at the event. Rector of BSU, Professor Merab Khalvashi, congratulated the faculty on its anniversary and presented the honorary award of the university - the Shota Rustveli medal for the special contribution to the development of the legal direction. Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, Davit Gabaidze, Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara Maia Khajishvili, graduates, representatives of various higher educational institutions, business sector and society, professors and students congratulated the faculty of the anniversary, wished success and presented the gifts.

On June 17, 2023, a presentation of the results of the Horizon 2020 grant project titled "Introduction of digital innovations in schools through regional innovation hubs and a mentoring model" was held. The meeting was attended by Jemal Surmanidze, the First Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, and Sports of Adjara, Professor Lela Turmanidze, the Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education at BSU, academic staff from the Department of Pedagogical Sciences, as well as principals and teachers from Adjara public schools.
