On May 22-28, 2022, within the framework of the EU „Erasmus +“ project DITECH (Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs), the first training of trainers was held for the representatives of the academic staff of the Georgian universities participating in the project and the representatives of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development.

A public lecture and discussion on the topic "Georgia and Europe: Historical Ties and Modernity" was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, organized by the Jean Monnet Department. Sulkhan Saladze, a lawyer, Chairman of the Georgian Young Lawyers` Association (2018-2020), a collector of old European maps and engravings, presented a report: "Georgia on Old European Maps, Parallels of the Past and Modernity"; Malkhaz Nakashidze, Professor of the BSU Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Head of the Department of Jean Monnet presented a report: "Birth of the European Constitution of Georgia on February 21, 1921, Batumi and European Values."
The purpose of the event was to popularize European values, to introduce the relations between Europe and Georgia to the general public.

Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Professor Merab Khalvashi and Head of the German International Institute for Hospitality Gerald Witzel signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. Under the agreement, each year, up to 100 students of the Faculty of Tourism will undergo a three-month paid internship in high-class hotels in Germany and will get acquainted with the operation of the main structural unit of the hotel.
The memorandum also envisages the implementation of educational-scientific projects together with the Faculty of Tourism, the launch of an exchange program for professors-researchers and researchers, the holding of joint conferences, summer schools and seminars, educational, scientific and methodological literature and educational research.

Antoine Ertle, Vice-President for International Relations at the University of Bordeaux Montaigne, Head of the Master`s Program "Teaching Eastern European Countries" - Olga Gil-Belova, University and Nastasia Domps, University and Scientific Attaché of the French Embassy, visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
The members of the delegation met Tamar Siradze, Deputy Rector of BSU and professors and the teaching staff. At the meeting, the prospects of cooperation between the two universities in the humanitarian and tourism fields were discussed. It was planned to launch international credit mobility and implement joint scientific projects within the framework of the Erasmus + program.

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University has launched the project "Sharing the Bulgarian Experience at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University" funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria. Within the frame of the project it is planned to carry out various teaching/learning and working activities to strengthen the Master’s programme “Digital Media and Innovations.”
Within the framework of the project, on May 6-18 of this year, Associate Professors of the Faculty of Humanities Inga Shamilishvili and Natia Katamadze and Doctor of Philology Mariam Korinteli paid a working visit to Sofia Kliment Ohridski State University. During the visit, meetings were held with the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication of Sofia University, Professor Veselina Valkanova, and the academic staff. At the meeting, the parties discussed the existing approaches to teaching journalism, got acquainted with the curriculums and the process of practical training in the existing studios.
