A solemn reception dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the US-Georgia relations and strategic partnership was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia Kelly Degnan summed up the 30-year history of relations and cooperation between the two countries. The event was attended by BSU Rector Merab Khalvashi, Deputy Rector Tamar Siradze, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, professors and teaching staff and students.

On June 6-10, the Porto Polytechnic University of Porto, Portugal hosted a study visit under the Erasmus + grant project “Boosting the role of HEls in the industrial transformation towards the Industry 4.0 paradigm in Georgia and Ukraine”
The visit was intended to share the experience of European universities for the development of Paradigm 4.0 concept. At the meeting the successful practices of the Universities of Porto Polytechnic University (ISEP - IPP, Portugal), the University of Minho (University of Minho, Portugal) and the University of Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Belgium and Germany in integration of the Paradigm 4.0 concept in the educational programs, about the role of the universities in the development of industry and successful projects of partner universities, were presented.

On June 6-7, 2022 iHUB4Schools („iHubs4Schools - Accelerating Digital Innovation in Schools through Regional Innovation Hubs and a Whole-School Mentoring Model“, Project N H2020-SC6-TRANSFORMATIONS-2020; № 101004676) consortium meeting was held at the University of Helsinki, Finland. Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University staff: Vice Rector Tamar Siradze, Associate Professor Tatia Nakashidze-Makharadze, Senior Specialist of the Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Adjara Nino Nakashidze participated in the meeting.

French-German Film Days were held on June 8-9 at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The event included screenings of modern French and German films: "Papisha", "Invisible", "Transit" and "Tony Erdman". After the event, students and professors, along with foreign experts, evaluated the films and talked about important and topical issues reflected in the films. Film Days were organized by the French Institute of Georgia and the Goethe Institute of Georgia.

Nancy Parks, „USAID Basic Education Program Manager” and Manana Ratiaani0, Director of the Teacher Training Program, paid a working visit to BSU. Nika Chkhartishvili, Head of the BSU Administration, Vladimer Glonti, Head of the Quality Assurance Service, and Ekaterine Shainidze, Head of the Finance and Economics Department, participated in the meeting with the USAID Basic Education Program trainers. The program works in several areas, and one of them is to support the development of an integrated undergraduate-master’s teacher training program in general education and to assist in the preparation for accreditation
