BSU is a partner of the project "Responsible Conduct of Research - Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities - ETHICS" funded by the European Commission in 2022. On March 1, the first national meeting of the project held at Ilia State University was attended by BSU staff involved in the project - Head of Quality Assurance Service Vladimir Ghlonti, Associate Professor Manuchar Loria of the Faculty of Humanities and Associate Professor Nana Makaradze of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education.

Within the scope of the agricultural extension project, representatives of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Washington and Tbilisi offices, international education specialists, experts of the Prairie View A&M University of the US Central State University and the "Farmer of the Future" made an official visit to Batumi Shota Rustveli State University.

Merab Khalvashi, Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, professors and students held a discussion on the topic: "Georgia`s occupation - February 25, 1921" and "Russian aggression in Ukraine - February 24, 2022". Professors of the Faculty of Humanities - Otar Gogolishvili and Jemal Karalidze presented reports at the discussion.The events of February 1921 were discussed in the format of a public lecture and discussion. It was noted that the goal of the Soviet Russian government, to return the Caucasus to the Russian imperial influence, had been outlined since 1918.

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Rector Merab Khalvashi, Tourism Faculty Dean Irakli Kordzaia, Associate Professor Darejan Jashi, Assistant Professor Lia Davitadze and invited lecturer Mamuka Turmanidze held final meetings in the format of a working visit to the USA in Washington on February 13-14.

On February 17, 2023, another meeting of the participants of the Erasmus+ project - "Strengthening the quality and relevance of the third mission in Georgian universities" (SQUARE) was held in BSU with the participation of the university administration, structural units and academic staff.
