A meeting with UNICEF representatives was held at the Children`s Rights Center of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The representative of the United Nations Children`s Fund in Georgia, Ghassan Khalil, and the Rector of BSU, Professor Merab Khalvashi, summarized the activities of the BSU Children`s Rights Center and talked about future plans. Within the framework of the event, there was also a discussion about the center`s development and sustainability strategy. The Children`s Rights Center was established in Batumi State University in 2021, where educational materials were developed and trainings, public lectures and discussions on children`s rights issues are held.

22 students of Shota Rustveli State University of Batumi will go to study in leading universities of Europe within the framework of "Erasmus+" exchange program. Students of different faculties will be educated in the universities of Germany, Spain, Romania, Portugal, Greece, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Turkey during one semester. Rector of BSU, Professor Merab Khalvashi and Head of Administration Merab Diasamidze met the winning students in the "Erasmus+" project, congratulated them on their winning in the project, handed over certificates and wished them success.

An exhibition of Dutch maps and engravings of the 16th-18th centuries dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Georgia was opened at Shota Rustaveli State University in Batumi, where Georgia and Georgians are depicted.The exhibition was opened by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Georgia Maaike van Koldam and the Rector of BSU, Professor Merab Khalvashi who spoke about the importance of the exhibition.

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Greece to Georgia Maria Theodorou met the Rector of BSU, Professor Merab Khalvashi and the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities Marine Giorgadze. The parties talked about deepening the existing exchange programs between the higher educational institutions and defined directions of future cooperation.

Within the framework of the international conference "Humanities in the Information Society - 4", in the section of mass communications and media studies, within the media education program of the US Embassy in Georgia, a meeting was held with the executive director of the School of Mass Communications of the Illinois State University (USA) Stephen Hunt and the director of convergent media Nathan Carpenter and TV- with 10 News director Laura Trendle Polus, as well as DePaul University Chicago professor and director of the media education program Dennis Mattson.
