On August 9, at 3pm, Marina Koridze, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Health Care, Deputy Dean Sofiko Tskvitinidze and Studynation 360 Private Limited organized an interview with Indian students who wish to study at BSU. Students asked questions about the learning process, curriculum, learning environment etc.

The rector Election was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. All of the Academic Council members supported Merab Khalvashi with 11 votes and elected him as the Rector of BSU for the second term. Before the voting, the rector candidates Merab Khalvashi and Inga Shamilishvili presented the action plan to the members of the legislative bodies of the higher education institution. The term of office of the Rector is four years.

This is to declare that the Memorandum between the LEPL Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and The International Student Cell, BSU LLC concluded in July 2017 on recruiting admission of foreign students from foreign countries (India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri-Lanka) for studying at the Medical educational programs at BSU has been terminated since 9 August 2019.
Currently, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University performs the recruitment and admissions procedures of applicants/students from foreign countries (India, Sri Lanka and the Arab states of the Persian Gulf) in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation with the company STUDYNATION 360 PRIVATE LIMITED concluded on 16 January 2020.

Disinfection works have been carried out at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University to prevent the new Corona virus infection (COVID-19). All of the university buildings, student dormitory and research institutes were processed with special solutions.

The Polish delegation payed a visit to Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Lukasz Poritski, Deputy Marshal of the Lubusz Voivodeship, Violeta Harejlac, Ljubus Parliament Speaker, Radoslaw Brodzyk, Director of the Office of External Cooperation and European Territorial Cooperation and Adam Capela Representative of the same office, met with BSU Rector, Merab Khalvashi, Deputy Rectors and deans of the Faculties.
