The award-winning cultural and educational student project “Gather2Gether-2” has successfully concluded at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The project brought together Georgian and international students, creating opportunities for cultural exchange, learning, and stronger integration within the university community. As part of the project, several engaging activities were organized, including a poster competition entitled “Integration and Acceptance” and a photography contest, “Diversity in Real Life.”

During the closing event, the Head of Administration, Merab Diasamidze, Vice-Rector Tamar Siradze, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Health Care Rusudan Khukhunaishvili, Director of the Management Center of the English-Language Medical Doctor Program Marine Koridze, and Head of the Department of Strategic Development and International Relations Marine Giorgadze emphasized the importance of the project and the value of cultural diversity in university life. The students who won the competitions were also awarded prizes and certificates.

The project concluded with the large-scale festival “BSU FEST-2024,” where Georgian and international students proudly presented the cultures and traditions of their home countries. The festival featured musical performances, cultural presentations, mehndi hand painting, demonstrations of different writing systems, and tastings of traditional cuisine from various countries. Performances by the university band and the choreographic ensemble Tbeti added to the vibrant atmosphere of the event.

One of the highlights of the festival was the debut performance of a newly formed band composed of international students. The band is expected to take part in future cultural events organized by the university. The event also included a White Coat Ceremony for first-year medical students, marking an important milestone in their academic journey.

The project was developed by Febrian Nishanthan Ahishtan, a student of the English-language one-cycle Medical Doctor program at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Health Care of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University.
