At Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Professor Stefan Fichtner-Feigl, Clinical Director of the Department of General and Visceral Surgery at the University of Freiburg, delivered a public lecture for students and faculty members of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Health Care on the topic “Surgical Anatomy of the Pancreas.” During the lecture, he also shared insights from his extensive international professional experience in the field of surgery.

As part of the event, BSU alumna Sophia Chikhladze, MD, Head of the Department of Pancreatic and Sarcoma Surgery at the University of Freiburg, introduced students to her professional career path and provided information about opportunities for pursuing medical education and professional development in Freiburg.

The meeting was conducted in an interactive format, allowing students to engage directly with the professors from the University of Freiburg, ask questions, and receive comprehensive answers on topics of interest.
