The Child Rights Knowledge Centre was established at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University in 2021 in partnership with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The Centre serves as an academic, educational, and research hub dedicated to promoting child rights, inclusive education, and child-centred approaches within the University and the wider community.

The Centre's mission is to strengthen a culture of child rights by fostering knowledge creation and dissemination, supporting professional development, and encouraging evidence-informed educational practices. To achieve these goals, it brings together academic staff, students, teachers, school administrators, parents, and other stakeholders in collaborative educational and research initiatives.

The Centre organizes training programmes, seminars, scientific conferences, research projects, and public awareness activities aimed at enhancing knowledge and understanding of child rights and inclusive education, while supporting the effective application of this knowledge in educational practice.

Through strong national and international partnerships, innovative approaches, and a commitment to academic excellence, the Child Rights Knowledge Centre contributes to the advancement of child-centred education and the promotion of a rights-based culture in Georgia.
