On 10 December, staff members of the Children’s Rights Centre at the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education visited Makhinjauri Public School in the municipality of Khelvachauri to mark International Human Rights Day.

During the visit, Professor Lela Tavdgiridze and Associate Professors Diana Akhvlediani and Dali Dobordzhginidze donated academic publications to the school's library. The donated resources included the monograph Identifying the Optimal Model of a Safe School in the Social Context of Georgia, published with the support of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, and the handbook How to Create Autonomous Learners: Teaching metacognitive, self-regulatory and study skills – a practitioner’s guide, by T. Moir, published within the framework of the Higher Education Support Programme of the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.

In addition, Associate Professor Tatia Nakashidze from the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education conducted a seminar on the topic of “Responsible and Safe Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Educational Process.” The seminar focused on the importance of ethical and informed approaches to integrating artificial intelligence technologies into teaching and learning environments.

The event was attended by Rusudan Davidadze, Principal of Makhinjauri Public School in Khelvachauri Municipality, as well as school teachers and students.
