On 14 May 2022, a training session on “Child Labour Exploitation” was held at the Children’s Rights Centre of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The training was delivered by Giorgi Katamadze, Doctor of Business Administration.
The session was attended by 21 students representing 12 schools from the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, including eight public and four private schools. The participants engaged in discussions on the protection of children’s rights, measures aimed at preventing child labour exploitation, and the role of schools and society in addressing these issues.
During the training, students expressed their interest in organizing debates on the topic of child labour exploitation and participating in additional educational sessions to gain a deeper understanding of children’s labour rights.
At the conclusion of the training, the students prepared a symbolic document entitled “Children’s Voice,” in which they expressed their views, concerns, and aspirations regarding the protection and promotion of children’s rights.
