Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University is hosting the 2nd International Conference “Incorporation of Child Rights into University Educational Programme and Curricula”. The conference is organized by UNICEF, in partnership with Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports of Ajara AR, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.

Creative groups of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University are resuming their activities following the Covid safety regulations and have announced the students’ admission.

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University was visited by the Rector of the University of Warsaw Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Radoslaw Karasiewicz Shchipiorski, Prof. of the University of Warsaw, Jacek Hamburg, Director of the Polish-Georgian Interdisciplinary Research Center of Krukowski and Lech Konchak, Director of the Polish Institute of Tbilisi.
The delegation members met Merab Khalvashi, the BSU Rector, Nika Chkhartishvili, Administration Head, Giorgi Tavamaishvili, Head of the Department of Strategic Development and International Relations and Zaur Akhvlediani, Deputy Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Autonomous Republic of Ajara.

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University Deputy Rector Tamar Siradze and Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education Lela Turmanidze took part in the seminar organized by the UNICEF in Tskaltubo.
During the two-day workshop, participants discussed the vision, mission and strategic goals of the Child Rights Centers. The event was attended by the rectors and representatives of the seven partner state universities where child rights centers are open.

Summer School “Constitutional Democracy in European Union: Modern Challenges and Georgia” has been opened in Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The Summer School which will last for four days will be implemented via the zoom platform and involve 30 BA and MA students of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of BSU and other universities of Georgia. The Summer School is organized in the frame of the project of the Jean Monnet Department of the BSU financed by the EU “ERASMUS+” Jean Monnet programme.
