Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University hosted the presentation of the Exchange programmes of Sweden that was organized by the alumni of Sweden in Georgia. The representatives of the organization presented the exchange programmes, study and research projects, internship programmes financed by the Swedish Institute as well as the conditions of participation in the competition. The event was held in the frame of the project “Information Sessions Related to Study in Sweden”.

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University hosted the German Teachers’ Days with the slogan “German Language in the Education System”. The experts of the Goethe Institute, the school directors and the teachers of German Language spoke about the potential and perspectives of the German as a school language. In the frame of the two-day event BSU hosted the exhibition of education as well as the workshop on the following topics: Modern School Profile-project-Based Learning, CLiL-Innovative Teaching of German Language and Short Literary Texts at the German Language lesson, Digital Learning, Learning through Exploration.

The event was organized by the Institute of Goethe.

International Conference “Humanities in the Information Society-III” has been opened in Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Georgian and International researchers have been discussing the important issues like Interdisciplinary and Intercultural Approaches, National Individuality and Cultural Diversity, Corpus Linguistics and Digital Humanities since three days. Section work involves more than 200 Georgian researchers from various Georgian universities, at about 20 international researchers (Japan, Italy, Great Britain, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Azerbaijan, the Ukraine) and 20 PhD students. A poster presentation and a round table have also been planned for the young researchers.

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University hosted the presentation of the exchange programmes of France. Natia Mskhaladze, Representative of the French University of Georgia and Eleonore Garnier, Attachée for Scientific and Academic Cooperation of the French Embassy in Georgia introduced the higher education system of France, educational programmes and scholarships to the students and the professors and the teaching staff at BSU. At the end of the event the visitors of the University shared their experience in studying in France with the students and answered their questions.

Irine Pilvere, Rector of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, Merab Katamadze, Director of the Field Study and Trainings and Voldmars Bariss, Head of the International Cooperation Centre had a meeting with the Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Prof. Merab Khalvashi. The aim of the meeting was to deepen the cooperation between the HEIs and elaborate future plans in this regard. The parties agreed to implement joint study and research programmes and conduct joint conferences. Moreover, it was planned to work on the project within the Erasmus+exchange programme in the frame of which the partner universities will conduct trainings for the students and the professors.
