Within the framework of the memorandum signed with Reggio Calabria University, a scientific discussion the topic- "Modern Challenges of Artificial Intelligence"- was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The event was attended by professors and students of BSU Faculty of Law and Social Sciences and Reggio Calabria University of Italy. Associate Professor Angelo Viglianisi Ferraro spoke about the prospects and opportunities for future relationships, in particular, the development of joint training programs, the organization of summer schools and holding of scientific conferences.

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University solidarity with Ukraine

The meeting with school principles of Adjara region was held on 3rd February 2022 within the project “iHub4Schools - Accelerating Digital Innovation in Schools through Regional Innovation Hubs and a Whole-School Mentoring Model“ financed by Horizon 2020 EU Research and Innovation program. Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University staff presented online self-assessement tool to support teacher digital skills. Discussion on the state of schools in the field of digital innovation was held and at the wrap up stage future collaboration steps were planned.

Annual Jean Monnet Student Conference: "Democracy, Rule of Law and Protection of Human Rights in the European Union" was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. At the conference, alumni of the Jean Monnet Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, the students presented the papers on the key values of the European Union, European integration, democracy in the EU, anti-corruption mechanisms, good governance, conflict prevention, national and cultural identity, freedom of mind, conscience and religion and other topical issues.

Ghasan Khalili, UNICEF Representative in Georgia, met the Rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Professor Merab Khalvashi and Dean of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Education Lela Turmanidze. At the meeting, the parties discussed the organizational issues of the international conference "Early Education and Care".
