On 22 May 2022, an online training session entitled “Children’s Rights and a Safe School” was organized by the Children’s Rights Centre of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University with the support of the UNICEF. The training was delivered by Maia Tsiramua, a clinical psychologist.
The training was attended by 20 pupils representing eight schools from the Autonomous Republic of Adjara (five public and three private schools), as well as Batumi State University students and a master’s student.

On 21 May 2022, at 11:00, the Children’s Rights Centre of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (BSU), with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), organized an online scientific conference entitled “Children’s Rights and a Safe School.”

On 14 May 2022, a training session on “Child Labour Exploitation” was held at the Children’s Rights Centre of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The training was delivered by Giorgi Katamadze, Doctor of Business Administration.

On 15 May 2022, a training session entitled “How to Change a Violent Environment in Schools” was held at the Children’s Rights Centre of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The training was delivered by Associate Professor Nato Sherozia and Assistant Professor Dali Doborjginidze.

A Children’s Rights Centre was officially established at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (BSU) through the initiative and support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). As part of the opening ceremony, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Batumi State University and UNICEF. The document was signed by Professor Merab Khalvashi, Rector of Batumi State University, and Ghassan Khalil, UNICEF Representative in Georgia.
